Mastan Babu Laid To Rest With State Honours

Indian pride and world famous mountaineer Malli Mastan Babu has been put to rest with state honours in his native village Gandhijana Sagam in Nellore district. Central Minister M Venkaiah Naidu was present during his last rites along with thousands of villagers, who bid a tearful tribute to the legendary mountaineer as he was buried in his family land.
After conquering several extremely difficult and dangerous mountains all over the world, Mastan Babu breathed his last while scaling the Andes Mountain on the Argentina-Chilean border on the 24th of March. After a month long wait, the bereaved family got to see his mortal remains at 1:30 pm today, as Mastan Babu's sister accompanied his dead body from Argentina via Chennai.
Expressing his condolences to the grieving family, AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu praised Mastan Babu's achievements and stated that his death is a huge loss to the state. Earlier this afternoon, state ministers Palle Raghunath Reddy, Narayana and Ravela Kishore visited the family and paid their last respects to Mastan Babu's dead body.
