AP Govt Surprise Gift For Farmers

This June 6th, the foundation stone for the AP capital, Amaravathi, will be laid in Thallaya Palem village near Tullur. Thousands of farmers have voluntarily donated their lands for capital construction, while many others protested and obliged after much pursuit by the AP CM Chandrababu and other officials.

To commemorate the sacrifices of the farmers who donated their lands, the AP government has decided to construct a giant pylon will be erected on which the names of the villages and the farmers who donated their lands will be engraved. The construction will take place at the area where foundation will be laid.

Apart from the pylon, the government is also contemplating to construct a huge garden and dedicate it to the people from the capital region. A senior group of priests will be carrying out special prayers at the foundation laying area since five in the morning till the evening. The Singapore government has already prepared a master plan for the construction of the garden.
